Frequently asked questions

What is a GwG-Fachstelle?

A GwG-Fachstelle reviews and supervises financial intermediaries' compliance with the due-diligence obligations of the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG). This is general information, not legal advice - for binding guidance, consult your own Fachstelle or legal counsel.

Who is ComplySwiss for?

For GwG-Fachstelle firms and similar organizations that continuously handle KYC/AML review for several client mandates (financial intermediaries or their end customers).

How does signup work?

You submit an application via "Apply now" and choose a plan. Payment is by bank transfer using a personal reference number. Once payment is received, your firm account is reviewed and activated manually.

How long does activation take?

Usually a few business days after payment is received, since review is currently done manually.

Can I manage more than one client mandate?

Yes. Each plan allows a certain number of client organizations - see the comparison table on the Pricing page. Need more? Contact us for a custom arrangement.

Can I change plans or cancel?

Yes, currently through our support - reach us via the Contact page and we'll adjust your plan or end it at the next billing period.

How secure is my data?

Every account can be protected with two-factor authentication, access is role-based, critical steps are subject to segregation of duties, and every security-relevant action is recorded in the audit log.

Where is the data hosted?

See our Privacy Policy for details. For specific questions about location, contact us directly.

How do I reach support?

Fastest is via our Contact page - we reply by email.
